Neighborhood
Whistable is famous for its local seafood, especially oysters, which are brought in daily into the harbour from a small fleet of fishing boats and sold in the fish market. There are many restaurants in town which also cater for vegetarians as well as meat lovers. The town has an award winning independent high street with its eclectic mix of shops from butchers, delicatessens, coffee shops, gift shops and art galleries. The beach is a few minutes walk from the cottage and offers a lovely walk along the coast to Tankerton and beyond. Cycling is also excellent with a great ride to Canterbury along the Crab and Winkle Way, a former railway line.
Guest Access
You can access the whole house and garden which also has a locked back gate making it easy to bring bikes in and out. Please note, the stairs are the original Victorian ones and quite steep. They are not suitable for those with limited mobility.
